Concept Note
The world is undergoing rapid transformation. The emergence of new and disruptive technologies is reshaping economies and industries, evolving geopolitical dynamics are altering the international order, and societies are experiencing profound social, cultural, and economic changes. Together, these transformations are creating new challenges as well as opportunities for countries, societies, businesses, and scientific and academic communities.
India and South Korea are also navigating these changes while seeking new pathways for innovation, economic growth, social development, and international cooperation. As two dynamic democracies with growing capabilities in technology, research, industry, education, and the creative economy, India and Korea have significant opportunities to learn from each other, strengthen collaboration, and jointly respond to emerging regional and global challenges.
Against this backdrop, the inaugural India–Korea International Conference 2026 (IKIC 2026) is being organized as a multidisciplinary international platform bringing together academics, researchers, students, professionals, entrepreneurs, content creators, policymakers, industry experts, and next-generation leaders from India, Korea, and beyond.
Under the theme “Emerging Technologies, New Geopolitics, and Societal Transformation: Building a Future-Oriented India–Korea Partnership,” the conference seeks to encourage dialogue across disciplinary and professional boundaries and generate new ideas, research, and perspectives on the transformations shaping India, Korea, and the wider world.
IKIC 2026 welcomes research and professional contributions across science, technology and engineering; social sciences and public policy; humanities, culture and education; and business, management and entrepreneurship, as well as interdisciplinary and emerging areas.
Through research presentations, knowledge exchange, and interaction among diverse participants, IKIC 2026 aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of contemporary transformations while fostering new networks, ideas, and opportunities for a stronger and future-oriented India–Korea partnership.

- Topics concerning India–Korea science, technology, engineering and innovation cooperation are particularly encouraged.
Track 2 — Social Sciences & Public Policy
- International Relations • Politics • Public Policy • Economics & Development • Society • Sustainability
- Research addressing India–Korea relations and wider political, economic, social, developmental and policy issues is welcome.
Track 3 — Humanities, Culture & Education
- Culture • Media • Content Creation • Creative Industries • K-pop & K-drama • Education • Tourism • Arts
- Submissions examining India–Korea cultural, media, content, educational and people-to-people cooperation are particularly welcome.
Track 4 — Business, Management & Entrepreneurship
- Business & Management • Entrepreneurship & Startups • Innovation • Trade & Investment • Finance • Marketing • Supply Chains
- Research and professional contributions related to India–Korea business, trade, investment, industry, startups and entrepreneurship are encouraged.
Interdisciplinary and emerging topics are also welcome. India–Korea-focused research across all tracks is especially encouraged.
Who Can Submit?
IKIC 2026 welcomes submissions from faculty members, researchers, PhD scholars, master’s and undergraduate students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and independent content creators.

Abstract Submission Guidelines
Applicants should submit an original abstract relevant to one of the conference tracks or the broader conference theme.
Abstract Length: 100–200 words
Language: English
The abstract should include the title, author name(s), affiliation, research objective/question, methodology or approach, key argument/findings, and 3–5 keywords.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Conference Committee. Submission of an abstract does not automatically guarantee acceptance.

- Accepted abstracts/papers will be included in the IKIC 2026 Digital Conference Proceedings.
- No publication fee will be charged.
