The primary objective of launching this blog is to provide reliable, insightful, and accessible information about India, its global engagement, and the growing opportunities for India–Korea cooperation.
Why Naver?
We believe that in the digital and information age, accurate understanding and informed perceptions of one another are essential foundations for building stronger bilateral relations. In South Korea, where people mostly consume news in the Korean language and heavily depend on Naver for news and information, there remains an absence of a dedicated platform that can provide broader and more comprehensive information about India.
In Korea, Naver is not just a search engine; it is a “lifeline” or a super app that Koreans heavily use for news, shopping, reservations, blogging, email communications, and many other services. Thanks to its deep penetration into Korean society, Naver has maintained a dominant position in the Korean search market, outperforming Google (23%) with nearly 70% market share in 2025. Its dominance is likely to continue as Korea strives to foster and strengthen its own digital ecosystem and domestic search platforms.
Moreover, in the age of AI-powered search and digital assistants, the availability of high-quality Korean-language content is becoming increasingly important in shaping how countries are understood and represented online. As Naver continues to integrate AI into its services, creating reliable content about India in Korean is essential to ensuring that Korean users have access to accurate, balanced, and up-to-date information about India.
Our Vision
Against this backdrop, the India–Korea Forum seeks to establish a meaningful presence on Naver to provide authentic and balanced perspectives on India and to contribute to fostering a more future-oriented India–Korea partnership.
Through our Naver Blog, we will share:

• Insights into emerging opportunities for Korean businesses, startups, and professionals in India
• Developments in technology, innovation, education, culture, and public policy
• Commentary on India–Korea relations and future cooperation
Most importantly, we hope to engage Korea’s next generation—especially startups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), emerging academics and professionals, and students—and encourage greater interest in India’s rapidly evolving opportunities.
We also plan to invite Indian and global scholars, professionals, startup founders, entrepreneurs, students, and emerging leaders to contribute articles in Korean, ensuring that diverse and authentic voices on India can reach a wider Korean audience.
