The India-Korea Forum (한–인도 포럼) is pleased to announce that it will organize a crucial dialogue at the Global Startup Center (Seoul) on “Advancing India–Korea Startup Collaboration for a Future-Oriented Partnership.”
This forum is the first of its kind, bringing together stakeholders from both sides on one stage to discuss and develop a practical agenda for boosting India–Korea startup partnership and shaping a shared future—what Prof. Rajiv Kumar, Director of the India-Korea Forum, calls a future-oriented partnership. As both India and Korea strive to foster their startup ecosystems, we hope this forum in Seoul will help bring the startup ecosystems of both countries closer.
This forum session is designed in three parts. The first session will provide comparative insights into key trends and characteristics of the India–Korea startup ecosystems. A comparative lens is critical to understanding the similarities and differences between both systems, which is meaningful for new founders navigating challenges as well as for established entrepreneurs aiming to scale further.
The second session is specifically designed to examine how to boost Indian startups’ presence in Korea. The presence of Indian startups in Korea remains very limited. While some Indian entrepreneurs have taken the initiative to operate here, a major challenge remains how to scale and expand within Korea’s unique business environment.
The third session will shed light on how to enhance Korean startups’ presence in India. Currently, the Korean government has an ambitious vision to transform “every Korean into an entrepreneur” under its flagship initiative 모두의창업 (Startup for All), which supports new founders in starting and scaling domestically, as well as pursuing global expansion strategies—including entry into the Indian startup ecosystem.
For this special event, we have invited leading startup founders and CEOs from both sides to discuss these issues and develop a practical agenda for the future. They are best positioned to share how to effectively strengthen India–Korea startup collaboration, as they have built and operated their ventures across both environments. We look forward to your deeper interest in the forum.
